JNP Mental Health · Patient Information
We want you to feel fully informed and completely at ease before your first visit. Here are answers to the questions we hear most often.
Can't find what you're looking for? Reach out through our contact form and we'll be happy to help.
Your first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation — a dedicated 60-minute session designed to give us a full, meaningful picture of who you are and what you're going through. Here's what you can expect:
Before your visit: You'll receive intake paperwork through our secure patient portal. Completing this ahead of time allows us to make the most of your session together. You'll be asked about your medical and mental health history, current medications, and what's been bringing you in.
During your visit: We'll have an open, unhurried conversation covering your current symptoms and how they're affecting your daily life, your personal and family mental health history, any past treatments or medications you've tried, your lifestyle — including sleep, stress, relationships, and work — and your goals for treatment. You are encouraged to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. This is a judgment-free, compassionate space.
By the end of your visit: You won't leave with unanswered questions. We'll review our findings together, discuss a personalized care plan — which may include medication, lifestyle recommendations, and referrals if needed — and schedule your follow-up. You'll feel informed, supported, and clear on your next steps.
There is no pressure and no judgment here — only care, clarity, and a genuine commitment to your wellness.
Your initial evaluation is 60 minutes. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes.
Every minute is used intentionally so you feel heard, supported, and clear on your care plan — never rushed.
We believe getting help shouldn't mean waiting weeks. New patients can often be seen within 24 to 48 hours — and in some cases, even the same day, depending on availability.
The fastest way to get started is to verify your insurance and request an appointment or contact us directly. We'll do our very best to get you in as soon as possible.
