If your insurance is not currently listed, you have a few options. First, contact us — we are actively adding new insurance panels and may be in the process of credentialing with your plan. Second, you can use our private pay option and we will provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Many plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network behavioral health services.

A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes all the information your insurance company needs to process a reimbursement claim — including diagnosis codes, procedure codes, provider credentials, and session details. Yes, we provide superbills upon request for all private pay visits. You can then submit the superbill directly to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement amounts vary by plan, so we recommend contacting your insurance company beforehand to understand your out-of-network benefits.

Yes. Psychiatric and mental health services are generally eligible HSA/FSA expenses. Using your Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account is a great way to pay for care with pre-tax dollars, which effectively reduces your out-of-pocket cost. Please check with your HSA/FSA administrator to confirm your specific plan's eligibility rules.

Most insurance plans now cover telehealth behavioral health services. To verify, you can call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask specifically about: (1) telehealth mental health coverage, (2) whether you need a referral, and (3) your co-pay or deductible for behavioral health. Alternatively, use the insurance verification form in our booking portal — we'll contact you with your benefit details within 1–2 business days.

When a provider is in-network, they have a contract with your insurance company to provide services at pre-negotiated rates — meaning your insurance covers a portion and you pay a co-pay or coinsurance. When a provider is out-of-network, there is no contract, but many plans still offer partial reimbursement. In that case, you pay the full rate upfront and submit a superbill to your insurance for reimbursement at your plan's out-of-network rate. We are in-network with Aetna, Cigna, Carelon, and Ascension SmartHealth, and are credentialing with more plans continuously.
